All Baudelaire products are gluten-free; but we are not able to guarantee they are manufactured in a wheat or gluten-free facility. All Baudelaire soaps are made from a vegetable base, but do contain lanolin, which some may consider to be non-vegan.

Our fully vegan products include the Sisal Brushes, Sisal Wash Cloths, Hemp Wash Mitt, Pumice Stone, Wooden Soap Dishes, Sisal Sponge (has a cellulose center), and the Sisal Scrubber (has a cellulose center).

Yes, at Baudelaire we go out of our way to ensure all products are made sustainably and with only cruelty free ingredients.

We proudly offer a diverse set of products from artisans around the globe. Our Honey and Loofa lines are made close by in Vermont, while our Natural Therapies products are made right here in our New Hampshire facility. Our signature collection – Provence Sante is made in France, and most of our accessories are made in Colombia, Romania, or China.

We love all our products and fragrances, but there are definitely a few stand outs. The favorite fragrance in our Honey line is Goat’s Milk, Loofa line is Sea Loofa, Provence Sante is very competitive between Linden, Lavender, Vervain, and Wild Rose, the Pharmacy line is UNWIND/RECOVER, and lastly the Apothecary line is Sea Foam, and the delightful Orange Blossom.

Our bath sponges are called “Wool” because of their soft feel – similar to that of a sheep's wool coat. Its soft, porous texture produces a rich and luxurious lather, that gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin.

Our facial sponge is called “Silk” because of its irresistibly soft feel. Made with impeccably small, yet smooth pores, silk sponges are are able to absorb large amounts of water, making them the perfect option for applying and removing make-up, as well as facial cleansing.

If you use soap with your sponge, mitt, or glove, it is imperative to remove any remaining soap prior to cleaning, otherwise, the leftover soap may cause your sponge, mitt, or glove to become soft and slimy. Once you have ensured all soap is removed, you may soak in a light bleach solution of ½ gallon water and 1 ounce laundry bleach, or in a 1 to 1 ratio of vinegar and water. Cold water is recommended, as water that is too hot may damage the natural fibers. Rinse well and completely air dry before next use.

There are many factors that influence the use life of our brushes and accessories. How often they are used, maintenance, and the PH level of the water are all considerations for how long a brush or accessory will last. For best results, we recommend hanging them in a dry environment. With frequent use and exposure to moisture, a brush or accessory should last 8-12 months, but with proper care and cleaning, could last 2-3 years.

Our eye pillows are made with 100% natural silk which means they are not microwave safe. Due to the delicate nature of silk, exposing the pillow to high temperatures will cause damage. If warmth is desired, we recommend warming a damp facecloth in the microwave for 30 seconds and placing the eye pillow in a plastic bag or foil before wrapping the warmed cloth around the pillow for 2 minutes.

Yes, all Spa pillows are made with a removeable cotton cover that can be washed on a delicate setting.

The Baudelaire shower mists are made exclusively from 100% pure essential oils, with at least 97% of the fragrance coming from a single perfume note. This aromatic and simple fragrance profile lingers in the moist shower air, providing a brief therapeutic effect. Depending on frequency of use, each 2-ounce bottle can last for 2-4 months.

Our personal vaporizers offer a more complex blend of pure essential oils that carry a top, middle, and base note of fragrance. The combination of essential oils allow for a longer-lasting therapeutic effect, with the the various fragrance notes fading at different intervals. Offered in a convenient 1-ounce size, our personal vaporizers are perfect for travel and on-the-go aromatherapy.
